Jellyfin Matcher

up · 480ms 2026 · Next.js · socket.io · Docker · GHCR · AI-assisted

Everyone swipes the same deck of films on their own phone and the first one you all like wins. No stalemates — that is the whole point.

The decision

The build gate fails when a number goes down, not just when a test breaks — test files, test cases, pinned claims and killed mutations all have floors in gates.json, because a silently deleted test looks exactly like a passing suite. Raising a floor has to happen in the same commit that earns it.

What it does not do

You need your own Jellyfin server. It is not a hosted service and there is nothing to sign up for.

What an AI wrote

AI-assisted Claude wrote most of the code and did the API spelunking. I steered, made the calls on how it should behave, and tested it on real hardware.
